Consultation

Your first consultation to our  sleep specialist will take two hours. It is indeed very important to understand each individual’s sleep problematic and we are dedicated to take the time for it.

A complete clinical investigation might be necessary – an investigation that includes a physical examination with emphasis on the autonomic and control nervous system.  A psychological evaluation will also be made and the specialist takes a close look at the patient’s lifestyle and the environment he or she lives, works and sleeps in.

Since each patient is unique, the treatment must be tailored to meet the needs of each particular individual.

more info
A sleep disorder is often the tip of the iceberg, a symptom of deeper, more serious problems. By the time a patient becomes aware of the real problem the disorder can have been going on for many years. Many other complaints have progressively emerged and often it is these secondary problems which bring the patient to the doctor’s surgery. Stress, anxiety, diffuse pain, obesity, etc. are among the most common complaints. Each of these conditions may cause the patient to take strong medication. Hence, when the patient finally decides to consult, he or she is very often addicted to some medication and, thus, besides the treatment of the causal problem, detoxification has to be included.
